The Forest and The Sea

Imagine a place

where the earthy scent of fresh roasted coffee hangs in the air like ornaments on a Christmas Tree

where whimsical books of knights (victorious) and dragons (slain), bears (who love honey) and donkeys (who mourn), wardrobes (that lead to far off lands) and hobbit holes (full of singing dwarves), are shared with little children of every age

where the flutter of guitar strings, and the tip toe of fingertips upon black and white keys rise up like firefly orchestras in the moonlight on a chilly night

where art paints sadness into joy and sorrow into fields of wild flowers and songbirds and sailing ships that carry away are fears beyond the stormy seas

where strangers become closest of friends bound together by shared stories of tragedies and victories, hardships and celebrations, memories and games of checkers

where a table is set for a wild Rabbit (with his pocket watch), weary nomads, wandering gypsies, and a Boy (named Mephibosheth)

where the Kingdom of the risen Son is advancing around the sounds of laughter and tears, new morning mercies and everlasting thanksgivings for the Life given to those who were once without Hope in this wilderness...for they have come to see a great Light.

Imagine, with us, The Forest and The Sea.
